There is nothing to fear but fear itself

I am often asked by wantrepreneurs how I got started and what they might learn from it. The first thing I can testify is that the right time is now… no matter what happens in our life!

In fact, the truth is the harder our conditions, the more energized we are. See, some people are constantly complaining about their lousy situation or low-paid job but never do anything about it, for the simple reason that they still have the choice. To get empowered and take massive actions, we need to create a strong sense of emergency, starting by listing all the things we won’t tolerate in our life any more and those we want with a clear vision, a well-thought action plan and deadlines for achieving our goals.

It’s not our conditions or circumstances that design our future, but our decisions and commitment to them. As a French expat settled in London for barely six months back then, registering my first business in a foreign country, in a foreign language, while being completely broke and not to mention stuck in a toxic relationship, as if these conditions weren’t hard enough, my mother had a severe stroke a month after my first business incorporation. So I asked myself this simple question: “What is the best use of my time now?”

I decided to switch all my harmful emotions such as anger and hurt, sadness and anxiety into positive energies such as excitement and passion, curiosity and determination for my business project. I decided to fully throw myself into it, learning new knowledge, getting more skills and taking the massive actions needed instead of mulling over the things I could not change. I focused on my new born vision, committed myself to perseverance and constant efforts with such an unshakable FAITH that Yes! I will get there – in a way or another! Finally, I took responsibility for creating the life I wanted instead of dealing with a life I didn’t want anymore.

On my way, I learnt that problems are not stop signs but only guidelines to success. I learnt that fears are not to be trusted but only considered as action signals to follow through. I learnt that my relatives’ early apprehensions were all about their own insecurities and not relating to my potential. Above all, I learnt that one single email, one more phone call, one chance taken can unlock about any situation for the best.

Since, I’ve successfully exported a UK leading company to France. I’ve helped hundreds of entrepreneurs and inventors kick-start or boost their business online, inside their market or abroad. I’ve also helped many of my friends empower their life getting fast and substantial results. And the icing on the cake, I’m now engaged to the man of my dreams!

Lately, I’ve been carefully selected and recognized as an inspirational, impressive and highly qualified mentor by the not-for-profit Virgin StartUp. Backed up by the UK Government, we help entrepreneurs aged 18-30 achieve their goals and realise their potential through understanding problems, identifying solutions and implementing their plans to success.
